HANDBAG ESSENTIALS

One of the things that completes you as a lady, apart from the biological aspects, is a handbag. So, the question is, what have you got hidden deep down that beautiful handbag that you carry around. Is your handbag an accessory we can just admire from outside but close our eyes tightly from shock once we check inside, how clean is it and how arranged is it? To cut the long story short, what are your handbag essentials?? I have decided to share with you some of the things I never miss in my handbag ‘My handbag essentials’ and I would also really like to know what are ‘ Your handbag essentials’. Feel free to comment the handbag essentials that a lady should carry and those you never miss in your beautiful handbag too.

1.Purse or wallet

Money bag!! Somewhere I keep all my cash, cards and other wallet essentials. I believe that a lady should have a nice wallet and if possible have several that they can switch time after time. Honestly, if I were guy my heart would skip a beat if I saw the lady next to me producing an elegant wallet when paying the bills.

2. Pocket tissues

Do you have tissue?? Please assist me with tissue. I hate it, yes hate, when ladies ask this. You are a lady the last thing you can do is lack a tissue in your dear bag!! Always carry a pocket tissue in your bag and to avoid inconveniences always buy extras to keep in the house incase you realize your short of and have no time to go buying one.

3. Wet tissues

They always come in handy, want to get rid of you lipstick or just wipe your hands, wet wipes will be there smiling right back at you. They may also go an extra mile for us ladies…. And just like pocket tissues try and keep a stock.

4. Hand sanitizer

Wash your hands before handling food is a slogan we have all sang since an early age.. Sometimes, water is not available and to avoid infection have your hand sanitizer automatically becomes the next option. If you miss this, then makes sure you have wet wipes that can play this role effectively.

5. Lip gloss or lip balm

Maintain your lips by ensuring you have the right balm. In my case I prefer the Nivea lip butter raspberry rose since it lasts for long on the lips and never causes cracks on my lips unlike most I have tried before. Everyone loves to look at smooth and well kept lips.

6. Lotion or hand cream

You don’t want you hands looking all dry and every time you stretch your hands to say high someone rolls their eyes. Will be helpful after washing your hands or wiping the dirt off with wet wipes.

7.Period supplies

These includes pads, tampons, panty liners… Mother nature may visit anytime and the good thing about having them always is because you might forget to pack them on one of those days. It is also more convenient if you found a small bag where you can stock them before putting them in your handbag.

8. Breath mint or gum

Have you  ever met someone just right after they had they meal and you just can’t handle their breath? Yeah, this is where this comes in. in my case, trident senses strawberry passion flavour is my favourite since the flavour lasts long and I love the kind of breath that comes about as a result of using it.

9.Nail cutter & Nail file

Sometimes our nails are just too stubborn. Personally there are several times I have forgotten  mine and I always end up buying one because I just can handle a broken nail pulling out threads from my clothes and so on. Avoid using your teeth since it can lead to issues such as cuticle infection and trust me when I tell you it’s really painful and can even lead to one loosing a finger. I scared you, Right? ;-).

10. Powder compact

We all love to look fresh and flawless all day. Make sure you always have one in your bag. choose the one that has a mirror on it.

11.Lipstick

Those lips deserve a glow once in a while.I got this one as a gift and I must say It’s my favourite. Always be cautious when choosing one so as not to crack your lips.

12. Eyeliner

I never leave my eyeliner no matter where am going. I rarely do general make up on my face but even when am super plain, I always tend to line my eyes. It makes a really big difference.

13. Sunglasses

If you know me well you these are must haves. Raining or not I never leave my shades, sometimes the rainy mornings may be deceiving. Invest in a  not only fancy pair but also a pair that can conveniently protect your eyes from the sun rays. Also get a pocket for them to avoid scratching them.

14. Note book and pen

I still believe in having a pen and a note book in my bag. There some things especially business related that I just feel more convenient to put them down on a book than on the phone. This is always a must have for me, hope for you too.

15. A good read

I always prefer mine being a hand copy no matter how digital we have become. Your output varies largely on your input so always make sure that you have a book beside you since knowledge is invaluable. At times you might find yourself idle, instead of grabbing your phones make a change and grab a book. This is my current read and I must say I got this book just at the right time. I might share with you it’s content some time.

16. keys

You need somewhere to rest after being up and down the whole day. Keys is a must have in your bag. Come to think of it I lost my keys almost almost two months ago and it was a real hustle before I got myself others. Keep yours safe.

17. A charger or power bank

Sometimes our electronic gadgets disappoint others. Though I might not use it everyday, I always ensure I got a charger in my bag.

18. Ear phones

Music always comes in handy especially when you are in a boring and quiet matatu when going home. It’s always a good way of relaxing in our so tight traffic jams.

There other things that I believe some ladies prefer carrying which include:

• deodorant.
• Head phones or ear phones
• Travel size perfume.
• Hair brush
• A mirror which may also be available in your powder compact.
• Snack since some of us love to eat

In order to ensure you handbag is neat ensure:

• Get a make up bag to avoid your make up from scattering all over in your handbag.
• Make sure you can see almost everything once you open your bag.
• Avoid carrying unnecessary stuff such as two weeks old receipts.
• Always tidy up your hand bag at the end of each day so as to empty any unnecessary stuff.
• Learn to keep things arranged always, make it a habit.
• keep a friend who can always warn you when you loosing track.

To the guys who might be reading  this, now you know why we love our bags big.
