Hey guys

How much do you know your city, Nairobi. After I took these pictures I forwarded to almost 10 friends and the amazing thing is that only one person had an idea where this was. To be honest, I think I would have been in the list of the less informed if it were not for my friend.

My friend, Stacy, and I were heading to town from school  the other day when she convinced me to abandon my usual route and use the Central Park route claiming it is shorter. We debated about it for a moment and still am yet to embrace that theory fully but anyways it was worth giving in that day. To be honest I have used the Central park route less than five times and that may just be the reason as to why I have missed the beauty that is engraved on the huge monument.

The more attention I paid to the monument the more it captured my interest. It has amazing and beautiful art around it telling different stories about our country Kenya. The mesmerism that was overwhelming me at that moment couldn’t give me a chance to  move an inch from that place without taking pictures. Now I understand why there are always several photographers around the monument to take pictures at a fee.

Next time you get the urge to ease your mind  or just want to take a walk , Central Park is the place to go to since it’s just a walking distance from the CBD.
